WELCOME

Ray Norman's paper here is based upon his ongoing research into contemporaneous understandings of 'the museum'. The paper aims to explore the paradigm shifts in play to do with current photographic technologies. More specifically, the ways the technologies have impacted upon current social and cultural sensibilities and the 'ownership' dynamics in play.

It turns out that in concert with the dynamic changes in the ways people are able to communicate with each other, so too is the nature of 'the muse' is changing as are the understandings of the places we go to engage with it – for some it happened quite some time ago.

NOTE: This is an open conversation and readers are invited to comment in the comment section below each section.
